A West Virginia man is in the Columbiana County Jail, accused of murdering an East Liverpool man nearly two years ago.

Thirty-two-year-old Elvin “EJ” Tisdale of Newell, West Virginia was booked into the county jail Wednesday on charges that include aggravated murder, murder, and weapons offenses.

The county prosecutor says Tisdale is charged in connection with the July 15, 2021, shooting death of 20-year-old Brycen Douglas.

According to police, Douglas was killed in front of a home on Pennsylvania Avenue in East Liverpool.

Police told 21 News at the time of the crime that people were standing on the porch of the house when an argument broke out.

A person then ran up to the porch and began shooting at the crowd.

Tisdale was arrested by West Virginia authorities in January but was just recently extradited to Ohio where he faces a court appearance.
