Trucker accused in Austintown cold case once again ruled incompetent to stand trial

A truck driver suspected in a 1992 cold case in Austintown was once again deemed incompetent to stand trial.
According to court employees, 53-year-old Samuel Legg was sent back to the Twin Valley Behavioral Health Center in Columbus after once again being deemed incompetent to stand trial.
Legg is charged with three counts of aggravated murder and one count of murder.
The charges stem from an incident from the April 1992 murder of Sharon Lynn Kedzierski. Kedzierski's body was found near the edge of the Universal Truck Mall parking lot in Austintown with the cause of death being ruled as blunt force injuries to the head and upper chest.
In 2013, DNA evidence suggested that Legg was a suspect in this case. Legg had previously faced charges related to a rape case in Medina County in 1997.
