Sheetz offering 'Free Gas' sweepstakes

Tired of paying for gas for your vehicle? Aren't we all... One lucky winner may never have to worry about gas prices ever again.

Sheetz gas stations are running a sweepstakes from now though August 31.

The grand prize is free gas for life for one person, six first-place prizes of free gas for a year, and up to 700 second prizes of Sheetz gift cards with $500 on each card*.

According to the news release, anyone wishing to participate has four ways to enter the sweepstakes, at the pump by scanning you Sheetz Rewardz card and selecting 'yes' on the onscreen prompt. You can also enter via the Sheetz app by clicking on My Sheetz Rewards, go to Offerz and find the 'Free Gas 4 Life' tile and click 'add to Account;' You can enter if you receive the Sheetz emails by selecting the opt-in button at the bottom of the message, or in store, sign up at the register. No purchase is required to enter the sweepstakes.

The content is for anyone over the age 18 and in all states except New York and Florida. Complete rules can be found on the Sheetz website.

You are limited to 250 entries per month.

Winners will be selected at random around September 6.

*According to the Sheetz rules, the Grand Prize free gas will be limited to 25 gallons per week, for a maximum of 50 years or a $250,000 cash/check prize. First-prize winners will have a choice between a $5,000 Sheetz gift card or $3,500 cash/check prize.
