Lordstown Motors Endurance EV recalled for a third time

An electric pickup truck from Lordstown Motors has been hit with a third recall after two previous recalls in March and February.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Lordstown Endurance electric pickup truck was recalled once again on April 27.
This time, the recall is due to the possibility of the instrument cluster display screen freezing upon the initial startup causing it to not display critical safety information.
The NHTSA reports that notification letters are expected to be mailed to owners of the recalled vehicles no later than May 12 2023. Consumers who own the recalled vehicle may take it to the dealership to update the software free of charge.
Owners can also contact Lordstown customer service at 1-248-522-9100 or the NHTSA's vehicle safety hotline at 1-888-4236.
Previously, the Endurance was recalled twice in less than a month due to issues involving faulty parking brakes and high voltage cables.
