Gambling machines seized from Warren Gasland, 3 charged
Three people face charges after state agents say they confiscated gambling machines from a Warren gas station.
According to the Ohio Investigative Unit, agents searched the Gasland, at the corner of Parkman Road and Summit St. on April 20 after receiving a complaint on illegal gambling.
During the search, agents seized two gambling machines, gambling receipts, and $5,333 in cash.
As a result of the investigation, agents charged Omar A. Omar, 36, Cortland, with four counts of operating a gambling house; Cody L. Long, 30, Warren, is charged with two counts of gambling - game of chance for profit or scheme of chance; and Melinda S. Kazlman, 38, Warren, is charged with two counts of gambling - game of chance for profit or scheme of chance.
In addition, sixteen administrative gambling citations were also issued against Gasland’s liquor permit for acquiring, possessing, controlling or operating a gambling device; electronic video gambling device, the game of chance for profit or scheme of chance, operating a gambling house, and recklessly permitting public gaming.
