Drivers making their way through downtown Youngstown should prepare for a few road closures over the weekend for multiple events in the area.

Wood Street from Wick Avenue to Phelps Street will be closed Saturday between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. for prom at Youngstown Rayen Early College High School.

Additionally, West Avenue will be closed from Marshall to Mahoning Avenue all day Friday and Saturday for the May Day celebration at the Calvin Center.

The closure will last from Friday at 10:00 a.m. until Sunday at 8:00 a.m.
