Police are trying to find the driver who fled an accident scene on Youngstown’s Southside early Friday.

The car plowed into a utility pole near midnight, bringing the pole and power lines down onto Market Street near Lucius Avenue.

First responders were dispatched to the crash scene believing someone may be injured.

However, when they arrived they found the pole's light fixture on the car, but the driver was no longer there.

As of 4 a.m., police say the driver had not been located.
