A display in the Mahoning Valley is raising awareness for child abuse prevention.
Trumbull County Children Services set up the pinwheels on the lawn in front of City Hall in Warren Tuesday.
The display holds 1,256 pinwheels, each representing a report of child maltreatment in Trumbull County in 2022.
The pinwheels also represent adults who have become an advocate for a child by reporting suspected abuse or neglect.
Warren City Hall and the Trumbull County Courthouse will be lit with blue lights throughout April to recognize child abuse prevention.
If you believe a child could be a victim of abuse, you can make an anonymous good-faith report to Children Services.
