A drill is planned in Trumbull County on Monday to help make sure police and school officials are ready in case they face an armed intruder someday.

The Trumbull County Educational Service Center and Niles Police Department are partnering to conduct an active shooter drill simulation on Monday, March 27th, at approximately 12:30 p.m.

The drill will occur at the TCESC offices at 6000 Youngstown Warren Road in Nles.

Officials say the drill is designed to provide both the TCESC staff and the Niles Police department with real-time experience in responding to an active threat situation.

The drill simulation will allow both organizations to evaluate and improve their emergency response procedures to ensure the safety and security of everyone involved.
