Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine has announced on Tuesday that the second of two one million gallon stormwater storage tanks is being built in East Palestine to manage stormwater entering the site of last month's train derailment.

The tanks will store any contaminated stormwater before it's shipped offsite for disposal.

In addition, in preparation for predicted rain in the forecast for later this week, teams have installed permanent piping that will work to pump clean rainwater around the derailment site to prevent contamination.

During the rain event, water will be shipped offsite around the clock to keep up with impacted rainwater.
