Hermitage Police describe murder suspect as 'armed and dangerous'
Police in Hermitage are searching for a murder suspect they are describing as armed and dangerous.
Officers investigating a report of shots fired at a home on the 2000 block of Shadyside Drive found that 24-year-old Charles Carr had been shot several times at his home.
According to Hermitage School Board Director, Carr was a "football legend" at Hickory High School in Hermitage.
Police provided first aid until an ambulance could take Carr to Sharon Regional Hospital where the Hermitage man was pronounced dead.
Coroner John Libonati has ruled that Carr died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Zechariah Aheven Sewell of Hermitage, is wanted for criminal homicide.
Sewell is a black male, approximately 5’5” tall and 130 lbs., with shoulder-length, dreadlock-style hair
