Poland Police Department holds award ceremony for officers
Chief Wilson says this ceremony is something that the department plans to do every year.
The Poland Police Department held its very first awards ceremony for its officers this evening.
Poland Township Police handed out awards to its officers to honor their conduct and accomplishments over the last year.
The ceremony helps show the communities support for the officers and according to Poland Police Chief Greg Wilson, the officers really appreciate it.
"WE HAVE OFFICERS OUT HERE THAT ARE DOING A FANTASTIC JOB, SACRIFICING TIME AWAY FROM THEIR FAMILY, WE'RE SHORT on NUMBERS AND WE JUST WANT TO SHOW OUR OFFICERS THAT WE'RE PROUD OF THEM WE, APPRECIATE THEM," Poland Police Chief Greg Wilson said.
