Detroit NBC-affiliate WDIV is reporting a train derailment in Van Buren Township, which is located in the southwest corner of Detroit.

WDIV told 21 News that the train was operated by Norfolk Southern, the same operator of the derailment in East Palestine, Ohio nearly two weeks ago.

Officials are on the scene investigating after the train derailed Thursday morning around 8:45 am.

Aerial video shows several train cars off the tracks and several sets of wheels disconnected from the rail cars.

According to WDIV, no injuries were reported, and there’s no evidence that hazardous materials were spilled during the crash, officials said.
