Legendary football coach Don Bucci passes away

Legendary Cardinal Mooney football coach Don Bucci passed away Saturday afternoon.

The 89 year old took over as the Cardinals football coach in 1966 and retired following the 199 season.

He led Cardinal Mooney to four state championships in 1973, 1980, 1982 and 1987. His overall record was 306-89-5

Following his retirement as coach he was the schools athletic director and retired from that position in 2020.
