Norfolk Southern, the railway company at the center of the East Palestine derailment disaster, will alert some residents that their well water might not be safe.

The 'Potable Well Task Group' is heading into the community Saturday to knock on the doors of people whose well water has been deemed 'at risk' of contamination.

A Facebook post from the East Palestine Police Department says the group consists of contractors hired by Norfolk Southern.

Residents who are notified that their drinking water is 'at risk' should call 330-849-3919.
