Monday extradition hearing set for suspect in deadly Warren arson

An extradition hearing is scheduled Monday for the third suspect arrested in connection with a fatal fire that killed 16-year-old Chassidy Broadstone at her Warren home.
Zackary Gurd, 23, was arrested by U.S. Marshals near Richmond, Virginia. Gurd remains in jail there.
According to a news release from Marshals, task force members received information that Gurd had fled the Valley on a Greyhound bus headed to Florida. Marshals say he got off the bus in Richmond and fled on foot.
Gurd was found at the 1200 block of Iron Bridge Road in Chester, Virginia within 24 hours of him fleeing on the bus.
He will remain in local custody in Virginia until he can be extradited back to Warren where he will face the charges against him.
During a press conference with Warren Police on Thursday, Detective Michael Altiere revealed that police believe Gurd was the one who started the fire. Police say he was seen in the home carrying a can of gasoline.
