A man wanted for murder in Boston, Massachusetts was located and arrested in Youngstown.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force took 56-year-old Dwight Watson into custody Thursday afternoon. Boston Police say Watson was involved in an altercation where he he stabbed the victim in the neck, killing them.

Investigators tracked Watson to Maywood Drive in Youngstown, almost 600 miles from where the crime took place. When approached by authorities, Watson initially gave a fake name, but his true identity was revealed shortly after and he was apprehended without incident.

"Investigators in Boston never gave up on finding this fugitive and an arrest such as this should remind anyone on the run that they cannot hide in Northern Ohio," said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott. "They will be caught."

Watson was booked into the Mahoning County Jail, where he will remain until he can be extradited back to Massachusetts.
