Warren Harding and Kentucky product Lynn Bowden Jr. is going remain in Foxboro for the foreseeable future.
The Patriots came to terms with the offensive threat on a futures contract. The 24-year-old Bowden spent the majority of his first season in New England on the scout team.
He was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster during the Patriots' week 9 win over the Colts and played 14 offensive snaps at wide receiver.
A futures contract is what NFL teams use to claim the rights to players they think can make an impact in the upcoming season.
After being drafted in the third-round by the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020, Bowden Jr. is entering his fourth year as a pro.
