Sports bars around the valley are getting ready to host game day and New Year's celebrations as Ohio State battle the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2022 Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl.

Jeff Richards, owner of JR'z Pub in Austintown, tells 21 News they are prepared for the sizable amount of customers tonight.

"These kinds of games are big games, especially the college football playoffs. [So] we're reloading and getting ready to go-I have full staff tonight," Richards said.

With the college bowl games falling on New Year's Eve this year, Richards expects a rush of customers to partake in game day and holiday celebrations. He says he's hopeful about Ohio States chance at winning the title.

Richards plans to have twelve TV's showing the games throughout the day, karaoke and DJ Simply Ed provide the soundtrack to the celebratory night.
