Trumbull 'Serial Rapist' David Honzu receives 4 life sentences plus 77 years

The man labeled a "serial rapist" by Trumbull Co. prosecutors, David Honzu, was sentenced to four life sentences plus 60 years by Judge Ronald Rice in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday.
Honzu, 64, was found guilty of three counts of kidnapping with sexual motivation and two counts of rape. The indictment in that case also stated Honzu was a sexually violent predator.
Honzu was sentenced on December 14 in another case to 17 years to life after being found guilty on three counts of kidnapping, robbery, and tampering with evidence on November 21. In total, Honzu received four life sentences plus 77 years in prison.
Honzu must register as a tier three sex offender after he was found guilty in the previous case on November 21.
In 2016, Honzu was sentenced to one-and-a-half years in prison after being convicted of attempted abduction.
