A Warren man is in jail, accused of slamming his neighbor with a brick.
Carlos Garcia-Mata, 24, has been in the Trumbull County Jail since his arrest Wednesday on a charge of felonious assault.
According to a police report, the 43-year-old resident of an apartment on Harvard Drive SE told officers that Garcia-Mata Reports struck him in the side with a brick before hitting his head and face with an unknown object.
Garcia-Matta and the alleged victim live in the same apartment building.
The victim was taken to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment of what the report describes as a major injury.
The police report does not give a reason for the alleged assault.
Garcia-Mata is scheduled for video arraignment in Warren Municipal Court on Friday.
