Shampoo products recalled due to elevated levels of benzene

A number of popular dry shampoo aerosol products have been recalled due to elevated levels of benzene.
Unilever United States issued the voluntary recall on certain lots of Dove, Nexxus, Suave, Rockaholic, Bed Head and Tresemme shampoos.
The affected dry shampoos were produced prior to October 2021.
Benzene is classified as a human carcinogen and exposure can happen by inhalation, orally, or through the skin.
Exposure to benzene can result in cancers like leukemia and blood cancer of the bone marrow and blood disorders.
The products included in the recall were distributed across the United States.

If you have any of the products on the list, stop using them immediately.
