Long time Boston Red Sox radio broadcaster and former WFMJ TV-21 sports reporter Joe Castiglione is one 10 finalists for the Ford Frick Award, presented annually for excellence in baseball broadcasting by the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Castiglione has been the lead broadcaster for the Red Sox for the last 40 years and has been doing Sox games for 43 years.  He was a sports reporter for 21 WFMJ in 1972.

Other finalists are Tom Hamilton, the voice of the Cleveland Guardians for more than 30 years, Dave Campbell, Gary Cohen, Jacques Doucet, Jerry Howarth, Pat Hughes, Ernie Johnson Sr., former Cleveland Indian and Giants broadcaster Duane Kuiper and Steve Stone.

The winner will be announced at the winter meetings in December.
