Warner Bros. Pictures will be celebrating its 100th anniversary next April. To commemorate this, a grand opening event will be held at the historic site of the Warner Brothers' first theatre at the Riverplex in New Castle.
The grand opening will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday October 8 and will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony, entertainment, refreshments and museum tours with historic films.
The films can be viewed in the Cascade and Bijou Theatres in the museum.
In addition, the granddaughter of Harry Warner, Cass Warner will be in attendance. Her award-winning documentary, "The Brothers Warner" along with her books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
The historic site will feature a definitive display of the Warner family's history, as well as detailed displays on superheroes in film and "How the Movies Learned to Talk - the Vitaphone Experience."
