Police surround Warren home after bicyclist reports shots fired
Two people are under arrest after a man riding a bicycle told police that shots were fired at him in a Warren neighborhood.
The 20-year-old bicyclist told officers he was riding along Olive Ave. NE near Washington St NE Wednesday when he heard someone shout out his nickname.
The alleged assailants ran into the street and began firing shots at the cyclist, who was not struck by gunfire.
Police say they surrounded a home on Washington Street after seeing someone run inside.
Officers arrested a 17-year-old male from Youngtown, as well as 18-year-old Deandre Glover of Warren, charging each with felonious assault.
Glover, who was also charged with obstructing official business, remained jailed on Thursday after pleaded not guilty at a court hearing.
As part of the investigation, police say they confiscated a semi-automatic handgun with a barrel magazine.
