Three decades have gone by since Joseph N. “Little Joey” Naples, one of the most famous Mafia leaders in the Mahoning Valley, died as violently as he lived.
 
Naples was gunned down gangland style on the evening of August 19, 1991, outside the mansion he was having built in Beaver Township. The shooter or shooters were hiding in a cornfield across the street from Naples’s home. The shooting has never been solved.
