Ohioans can now show pride in their pet pit bulls and help animals at the same time.
The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles is offering its new Dog Friendly2 plate that features a former stray.
The specialty plate features an image of a happy brown and white boy sporting a huge smile, a blue-collar, and a gold dog tag that says "Adopt."
Drawn by nationally syndicated cartoonist Jenny Campbell, creator of the daily comic strip “Flo and Friends,” the dog model’ for the new logo was a rescue mix named Jack, according to the Ohio Pet Fund.
The $25 fee from the sale of pet-friendly plates helps find homes for animals.
