Huntington Bank and United Way teamed up to help students throughout the Valley return to school by collecting backpacks to donate to students throughout Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, and Mercer Counties on Wednesday afternoon.

The bank hosted a Stuff the Bus event at the Huntington Bank on Boardman-Poland Road in Boardman. This is the 12th year the bank has participated in Stuff the Bus.

"This powerful partnership has helped many vulnerable children in the region get ready for school, allowing them to learn and grow up to be who they're meant to be. Helping a child can have a huge impact, and Huntington is honored to be a part of it," said Community President in Youngstown for Huntington Bank, Samuel Huston.

Distribution in the designated counties will take place after Wednesday. United Way has already identified where the backpacks will be distributed thanks to their partner schools and agencies.

Over 1,000 backpacks total will be donated to the four counties.
