A Youngstown man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison on child pornography and sexual exploitation charges.

Forty-two-year-old Matthew Lucarell is charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of children, one count of possession of child pornography, and one count of receipt and distribution of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

According to court documents, between September 2019 and March 2021, Lucarell coerced four separate minors into engaging in sexual activity to produce visual depictions and interactions.

Additionally, between May 2018 and February 2021, Lucarell knowingly distributed various files of child pornography.

In early April of 2021, Lucarell was found to be in possession of a cell phone and two micro SD cards, all containing numerous files of child pornography, including at least one involving a minor under the age of 12.
