Trumbull County Career & Technical Center's (TCTC) adult education program could be in jeopardy with the school showing lower enrollment.

Superintendent Jason Gray tells 21 News that a total of 11 students enrolled in the school's adult education program for the fall semester with one program even getting no students whatsoever.

"Our enrollment in our adult program is lower than it's ever been," Gray said.

As of Wednesday, the school's practical nursing, information technology, welding, and industrial maintenance programs have all been canceled for the fall semester.

However, an adult education staff member disputes the Superintendant's claim, saying the Practical Nursing Program alone had 15 students ready to start classes on Monday.

Gray tells us the future of the school's adult education is unknown at this time, but it will be discussed during a board meeting on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. This meeting is open to the public.

In the meantime, other local career centers such as ETI are accepting students who were signed up for these canceled programs and will waive application fees for those affected.

TCTC will be refunding the application fees to those affected as well.
