State Troopers are investigating a fatal accident involving an Amish buggy and a car driven by a man from Warren.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol in Geauga County tells 21 News that a Hyundai Elantra ran into the back of a buggy along Route 422 in Middlefield just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The patrol says the buggy driver, 33-year-old Stephen Hostetler of Garrettsville, and his 9-year-old son who was a passenger were thrown from the buggy.
Hostetler died in the crash. His son was taken to University Hospitals Geauga Campus for treatment of serious injuries.
The driver of the car, 34-year-old Steffon Baker of Warren wasn’t injured.
Troopers don't believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
