Rita's Italian Ice opens location in Austintown

Those in Austintown have a new place to stop and get a sweet treat.

Rita's Italian Ice & Custard opened Thursday in the Austintown Plaza in front of Golden Star Theatres and next to Huntington Bank.

They open daily from noon to 10 p.m. and offer walk-up window and drive-thru services.

Their menu consists of 40+ flavors of Italian ice, more than a dozen flavors of frozen custard, gelati, blendini's, concrete custards, misto shakes, frozen drinks and milkshakes.

A Rita's was previously across from Giant Eagle in Austintown but closed in 2012.
