Investigators are looking for the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a home in Ellsworth Township late Sunday.

Firefighters called to the 6700 block of South Salem Warren Road and found flames coming from the second floor of the home just after 11:30 p.m.

Heavy smoke was pouring from all sides of the home and the roof.

After confirming that no one was inside the house, firefighters poured water on the fire, using a ladder truck to reach the roof.

Fire crews from Berlin, Canfield, Jackson Township and Green Township helped put out the flames.

Tankers shuttled water from Berlin Station Road to the fire.

No injuries were reported.
