The Ohio Arts Council (OAC) board has approved $18,246,306 in grants to support Ohio artists, arts and cultural organizations, students, educators and public arts programming, and all three counties in the Mahoning Valley are receiving some of that money.

The grants received in the Valley are in four separate categories: ArtSTART, sustainability, art partnership and arts access. 

ArtSTART grants provide accessible funding to help organizations complete short term projects, sustainability grants support ongoing arts and cultural activities in all genres, arts partnership grants support arts education projects that address the needs of individual learners and their communities and arts access grants supports ongoing arts and cultural activities in all geners that broaden opportunities for the general public to participate in the arts.

In Columbiana County, the City of East Liverpool is receiving $1,928 in ArtSTART grants and Stage Left Players in Lisbon will receive $4,500 in sustainability grants.

In Mahoning County, many Youngstown organizations will be receiving money including:

- Ballet Western Reserve Inc. will receive, $13,144 in sustainability grants.

- The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown will receive $115,871 in sustainability grants.

- Cultural Alliance in Youngstown will receive $2,782 in ArtSTART grants.

- The Henry H. Stambaugh Auditorium Association will receive $3,106 in arts partnership grants.

- Lit Youngstown will receive $4,044 in arts access grants.

- The McDonough Museum of Art will receive $11,625 in sustainability grants.

- Opera Western Reserve Inc. will receive $8,338 in sustainability grants.

- Stambaugh Chorus will receive $3,658 in sustainability grants.

- Etruscan Press will receive $3,933 in arts access grants

Finally, in Trumbull County, Foundation Medici in Warren will receive $2,909 in ArtSTART grants and Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership will receive $2,720 in ArtSTART grants.
