A Youngstown man awaits sentencing after pleading guilty in federal court to robbing the First National Bank in Downtown Youngstown last year.
Phillip Whitman Jr. entered the plea Wednesday in U.S. District Court and is scheduled for sentencing in November.
The robbery took place on November 22, with Whitman escaping in a Cadillac.
Police stopped the car at Landsdowne and McCartney Road, arresting Whitman.
