More peanut butter products recalled in light of Jif recall
Last week, the J.M. Smucker company issued a voluntary recall on Jif peanut butter products due to a salmonella outbreak connected to the product.
Now, this recall has affected many other peanut butter products, some of which have been distributed in Ohio stores.
Walnut Creek, Ohio-based company, Coblentz Chocolate has issued a recall on multiple peanut butter products. These products are as follows:
- Peanut butter spread
- Milk chocolate peanut butter cups
- Graham peanut butter sandwiches
- Ritz peanut butter sandwiches
- Oversized milk chocolate peanut butter cups
- Fudge sampler
- Peanut butter fudge
- Buckeye fudge
- Oversized dark chocolate peanut butter cups
- Oversized peanut butter pretzel clusters
- Peanut butter truffles
- Chocolate peanut butter caramel corn
- 4, 8, 16 and 32 ounce deluxe assortments
- 8 and 16 ounce assorted creams
These products were sold between November 12, 2021 and May 21, 2022 and include lot numbers 1315-2140. Coblentz Chocolate has stopped the use of Jif peanut butter in their products. No illnesses related to these products have been reported as of now.
Consumers who have purchased any of these listed items are urged not to consume them, but to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
In addition, Garden Cut LLC has issued a recall of three products which contain a 0.75 ounce Jif peanut butter cup. These products are as follows:
- Sweet apple wedges with peanut butter (Item Code: 17443, Item UPC: 053495119986, Expiration Date: May 25, 2022 - June 7, 2022)
- Tart apple wedges with peanut butter (Item Code: 17441, Item UPC: 053495090186, Expiration Date: May 25, 2022 - June 7, 2022)
- Celery bites with peanut butter (Item Code: 17449, Item UPC: 053495080705, Expiration Date: May 25, 2022 - June 3 2022)
Affected products were sold in seven states including Ohio. Anyone who has purchased these products should dispose of them or return them for a refund.
Finally, Fresh Del Monte has also issued a recall on its peanut butter products. Information on all recalled products is as follows:

- Del Monte peanut butter snack pack (UPC Code: 717524784698, Expiration Date: May 26, 2022 - May 29 2022)
- Del Monte peanut butter & jelly sandwich (UPC Code: 717524770806, Expiration Date: May 24, 2022 - May 28, 2022)
- Del Monte apple, pretzel and peanut butter snack pack (UPC Code: 717524655011, Expiration Date: May 24, 2022 - May 29, 2022)
- 7-Eleven peanut butter snack pack (UPC Code: 052548683146 and 52548683146, Expiration Date: May 24, 2022 - May 26, 2022)
- 7-Eleven celery with peanut butter (UPC Code: 052548682712, Expiration Date: May 24, 2022 - May 25, 2022)
- Circle K apple pretzel peanut butter snack pack (UPC Code: 717524716309, Expiration Date: May 24, 2022 - May 30 2022)
- GetGo apples with peanut butter dip (UPC Code: 0030034937706, Expiration Date: May 26, 2022 - May 29 2022)
Consumers who have any of these products should not consumer them and should instead discard them immediately.
