A second person has been sentenced after pleading guilty to child endangering for starving a six-year-old boy at their Kinsman home over a period of a year-and-a-half. 

Jason Gibson, 43, was sentenced to nine months in prison during a hearing in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday.

On Monday, Ashley York, 35, who has since moved to Geneva, Ohio, was handed a 30-month-sentence.

Both York and her 43-year-old companion, Jason Gibson, pleaded guilty to one count of child endangering earlier.

The pair were secretly indicted in June 2020 on three counts of child endangering.

According to the indictment, the six-year-old was abused by the couple from January 2020 through June 2021 until the child was removed from the home.

Gibson, the boy’s father, cooperated with the investigation.
