Boil alert issued in sections of Niles until further notice

A boil alert has been issued in sections of Niles until further notice.

The alert has been issued for Mason from Mahoning to Wood and Mahoning from Fenton to Mason.

While the alert is in effect, anyone in the area should avoid using water from their faucets without first boiling it and drink bottled water whenever possible until the alert is lifted.

Earlier Saturday morning, Mason was temporarily out of water from Cedar to Mahoning. The boil alert was issued as soon as water was restored to the area.
