Struthers voters approved an additional 2.8 mill levy for the Struthers School District for general improvements.
The proposed levy will run 5 years and would generate about $400,000 per year, which would be used for updating the buildings, such as replacing the fieldhouse roof, and updating the chiller and HVAC systems in the district buildings.
The Struthers school board approved placing the five-year, 2.8-mill permanent improvement levy on the ballot in January to replace an expiring 2.3-mill bond and 0.5-mill facilities maintenance fund.
The vote was 954 for the levy, and 835 against.
