Valley Congressman, Tim Ryan announced on Friday that the State of Ohio will receive $214,687,250 in funding under the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law providing Ohioans with more transportation options, easing congestion in local communities and reducing carbon pollution across the state.

Ryan says the infrastructure law is delivering "historic investments" in cleaner, more convenient transportation option for Ohioans.

"This funding will lower costs for working families, combat harmful carbon pollution and support good paying union jobs. I'm proud to have voted to provide this federal investment, and I will continue partnering with our state and local leaders to put these game-changing investments to work," Ryan said.

The investments total over $6.4 billion across the country and are administered under the Federal Highway Administration's Carbon Reduction Program.

The funds will be invested in a range of eligible projects including the following:

- Public transit services

- Electric vehicle charging infrastructure

- Traffic flow improvements

- Congestion management technology

- Pedestrian and cycle trails

Ryan says this funding will help reduce our reliance on foreign energy and protect working families from rising costs.

"As these investments reach our communities, Congressional Democrats remain laser-focused on fighting Putin's price hike by lowering costs, increasing paychecks and creating jobs," Ryan said.
