Beginning Monday, a roughly two-month gas line project will begin in Boardman and Canfield Townships.

Columbiana Gas says the majority of the work will take place on Tippecanoe and Leffingwell Roads.

As a result, the southbound lane of Tippecanoe will be closed between Leffingwell and Western Reserve from Monday, April 25th - Thursday, May 5th.

Columbiana Gas says the purpose of the project is to enhance the reliability of its natural gas delivery in the area. Crews will connect an existing mainline on Leffingwell and run new line east to Tippecanoe. Installation of the new mainline will then continue south on Tippecanoe to the location of a new regulator station. Overall, the project will include the installation of 3,700 feet of new 12-inch pipe.

Motorists should expect delays. Flaggers to be on-hand to help vehicles navigate the construction.

The work should not disrupt gas services.
