After a weekend raid the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking task Force made five arrests of area men, one of them a former Valley police officer.

All of the individuals caught in the raid face charges of engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools.

Don Bova, who previously worked for New Middletown Police appeared in court Monday in relation to the charges.

The Mahoning County Sheriff's Department says all of the men had responded to online ads soliciting prostitutes.

All five men are free on bond.

They are expected in court at a later date.
