The Canfield baseball team was one of a few local teams to play ball on Friday.
Following an incredible outing, the Cardinals are glad they took the diamond amid cold temperatures on the road against Oregon Clay. That's because standout pitcher and Ohio State commit Landon Beidelschies threw a complete-game no-hitter in the Cardinals 5-0 win.
Beidelschies went the full seven innings, giving up no hits while striking out 13 batters.
He helped his own cause at the plate as well, with a double and a home run for two RBIs.
Ethan Prout and Michael Patellis each collected two hits for Canfield.
The 5-0 victory sends the Cardinals to 2-0 in the early season.
