A former Warren City Schools athletic coach is free on $15,000 bond after her arrest for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a student.

Talayshah Harris, 22, of Warren pleaded not guilty on Monday to charges of sexual battery and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

The incident, which allegedly took place on April 1 of last year, involved a 15-year-old girl at Harding High School, described by Superintendent Steven Chiaro as a student-athlete.

Chiaro told 21 news earlier that Harris worked for the schools on a supplemental athletic coaching contract and is not a current employee.

Another hearing in the case is scheduled for April 15 in Warren Municipal Court.
