Police: Cleveland Browns mug filled with pot leads to charges against Liberty man
A Liberty Township man who police say was traveling with an orange-colored Cleveland Browns mug filled with pot is wearing orange jail coveralls now.
Campbell police say they pulled over a car driving down the middle of Coitsville Road just before 2 a.m. Wednesday and conducted a field sobriety test on the driver, 42-year-old Michael DeCiancio.
According to the police report, DeCiancio stumbled while getting out of his car.
Following the sobriety test, police decided that DeCiancio could not drive and placed him under arrest.
Police say a search of the car turned up a large, orange Cleveland Browns mug containing more than one-and-a-half pounds of marijuana. They also found two plastic baggies and a digital scale, according to police.
The report says DeCiancio registered .146 on a portable breath test device.
DeCiancio was booked into the county jail on charges of drug trafficking, possessing drug paraphernalia, and DUI.
He’s scheduled to answer those charges in Campbell Municipal Court on Friday.
