To try and help people who need to spend more money filling their gas tank during the all-time high prices in Ohio, the Warren Family Mission is ramping up its food distribution efforts.

The first giveaway in that effort is of a top refrigerator item: Milk.

The Mission is branding the handout as "Free Milk Friday" and will give the dairy product alongside cereal and other non-perishable items. There will be 900 gallons of 2% milk available for the public, but distribution is limited to the first 400 vehicles that show up. Goods will be given until supplies run out.

Anyone in need of these items can pick them up beginning at 9 A.M. on Friday, March 11, at Packard Park in Warren. The Mission asks that vehicles enter the park by Comstock St Northwest, located behind the Packard Museum.

Food items were provided to the Mission by Second Harvest Food Bank in a partnership with the City of Warren.

Organizers would like to do more giveaways while Ohioans face pain at the pump. The groups are monitoring food donations and supplies in order to host more handouts for other products.
