STILL UNSOLVED: Monday marks seven years since murder of Cody Pitts
Monday, March 7 marks the seven-year anniversary of the murder of 26-year-old Cody Pitts on Orchard Avenue in Hubbard. To this day, the case still remains unsolved.
Police say Pitts left a bar and restaurant on North Main Street in Hubbard and was believed to be walking to a friend's house around 3:30 a.m. when someone shot him on Orchard Avenue.
Hubbard Police Chief Robert Thompson tells 21 News that he hopes someone comes forward and him that the case remains an active investigation.
"It's a tight community. We believe there's people out there that know something, but they haven't come forward, so getting them to talk is very difficult," Chief Thompson said.
A reward is available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who murdered Pitts.
