New Castle woman pleads guilty to involvement in drug trafficking organization

A New Castle woman pled guilty on Monday to her connection to a cocaine trafficking organization.
Forty-six-year-old Deia Eggleston was prosecuted in connection with a cocaine distribution drug trafficking organization in New Castle.
Eggleston allowed, Dondi Searcy Jr., another individual in the organization, among others to use her home to manufacture and store illegal narcotics and firearms.
In addition, Eggleston assisted Searcy with a kilogram of cocaine that was arranged to have mailed from California to the home next door to Eggleston's residence. The package was intercepted by law enforcement.
Eggleston is scheduled to be sentenced on June 21, 2022.
