On Friday, the mix of rain, melting snow and ice jams lead to one of the more significant flooding events in recent Valley history.

In nearby Portage County, the water rescue team had their first call of the year. The Portage County Water Rescue Team posted to Facebook that they were called out to a flooded farm in Palmyra Township.

The team said the flooding had put an animal farm under water and placed many of the animals on the farm in danger.

The team said they saved about 40 animals. Including quail, chickens, ducks and even a donkey that was up to its head in ice cold water.

21 News reached out to the water rescue team for additional information, but have not yet heard back.
