Hickory takes District 10 wrestling crown for the first time!

It was a historic day for the Hickory Hornets wrestling team, as they took home the District 10 AA Championship for the first time!
Hickory defeated Ft. LeBoeuf 44-27 in the championship round. The Hornets entered the day with a quarter-final match-up with Girard, PA. The Hornets beat Girard, PA then defeated Corry to advance to the Championship match.
Corry battled Greenville and defeated the Trojans prior to meeting Hickory.
Saegertown knocked-off Reynolds in the quarter-final round, putting an end to an unbelievable run for the Raiders wrestling team, in which they won five consecutive State Championships and nine straight District 10 Titles.
Hickory now advances to the PIAA Tournament and will play the winner of Montgomery/West Perry on Feb. 10 from Hershey.
